Race Series

The Drivers Club member races are the perfect place to get your feet wet.

Racing

Every Lime Rock Drivers Club member becomes a really good high performance driver, many members want to take it further and go racing.

The LRDC Race Series was created for those that want a safe lower cost, less time consuming format that doesn’t require a formal license, just a sign off by the Club Director. These are fun, competitive, member against member races, and they part of membership.

No racing license or entry fee are required for Members to participate.

The Drivers Club at Lime Rock Park is an officially sanctioned SCCA race driving school, and our race series counts towards taking graduates from a Novice Permit to a Full Racing License.

Annual Miata Technical Inspection

For all qualified LRDC Spec Miata Racers, an Annual Tech Inspection will be performed prior to your first race event of the season. An “Annual Inspection” sticker will be applied to your vehicle and must show on the bottom right of the windshield for quick verification purposes on each race day in that year period. Restrictor plates, ECU, and engines will be sealed at your Annual Tech Inspection. If a seal is broken, for any reason, a new inspection must occur prior to the next race event.

All racing gear must be inspected during this Annual Inspection as well and you must display your “Passed” sticker on the left-hand side of your helmet for quick verification purposes. Drivers must be in compliance with manufacturers fire suppression certification schedule and harnesses and seats have to be within manufacturers certification.

LRDC will randomly check seals after qualifying and racing.

All Mazda Miata race engines may be checked on a portable rolling road dynamometer at some point in the racing calendar. The top 3 cars in each class plus any other cars that show abnormal HP will be measured.
All Mazda Miata’s will be subject to random weigh-ins.
